Who are we?
We are a social enterprise that delivers talks to businesses. These are delivered by a diverse range of “ordinary” people on a wide range of topics that have touched their lives in some way.
They will share their experiences both good and bad and describe how they overcame challenges.
We specialise in providing workforces with talks that are interesting, inspirational and relatable.
Our affordable solutions mean that SMEs and Micro businesses are also able to engage with their teams on subjects that may really matter to them - from addiction to financial problems.

Our Vision
Our talks provide businesses with an ESG based solution that is easy to procure and implement.
The majority of our speakers are outside of the traditional employment system for personal reasons and this provides them with an income and a purpose.

How do I book?Get in touch via our email ourstoriesoflifeuk@gmail.com and let us know what topics you are interested in. Or complete the online enquiry form via our website. We will call back with options and availability.
-
Where are the talks held?We like to come to your place of work - it doesn't need to be a fancy room - just enough chairs for people to get comfortable in. We can also offer online sessions.
-
Do you give out leaflets? No, we find that these can get left lying about and people are awkward to pick them up. We will leave a laminated page that has a QR code / links to websites that can help with the associated topic.
-
How long does it last? The talk itself will last for half an hour, this is the recommended time for bite size memorable information. The speaker will wait after the talk to answer any more direct personal questions that individuals may not want to address in an open forum. The durations can be tailored upon request.
-
Are you affiliated to any charities? No, we are wholly independent, but will offer direction to relevant organisations as part of our advice.
-
What area do you cover? We operate in London and the South East - we are hoping to expand our coverage as we grow our speaker network.
-
I've seen other companies offering talks - how are you different? Many companies offer talks by ex athletes, ex SAS personnel etc. Although we can offer these talks aswell, we wanted to set something up with people that may be more relatable to the average working person, who also may not have had the benefits in life that have come with being a professional athlete. Our speakers are not polished professionals - there may be the odd profanity in the dialogue, pauses etc - we believe that's how it should be when you are talking about real subjects.
-
How much do the talks cost? Our prices vary dependent on the speaker and circumstances, but as a guide £375.
-
We need to record this talk as part of the Social Value Act or as part of some other accreditation such as considerate constructors. How can I demonstrate this?We can send you a certificate evidencing the social value calculation.
